Kids do need x-rays. Here’s the truth, we can’t diagnose what we can’t see. A dental exam tells us a lot, but it doesn’t tell us everything. In fact, many cavities and children start between the teeth where they are not visible during a regular exam.

I know radiation is a common concern for parents. The good news is that today’s digital x-rays are very low doses of radiation and we only recommend them where they’re clinically appropriate for your child’s age, risk factors and also Dental needs.

Our goal is never to take more x-rays than necessary. It’s to find a problem before they become painful, expensive, or stressful for your child. Prevention isn’t just about brushing. It’s about seeing the whole picture.
