The future is in good hands. As a corporate sponsor of SPIKE Studio, SSOE was honored to support this year’s Summer Academy, where Section Manager Phil Doele served as a juror, reviewing student projects and sharing feedback with aspiring architects, engineers, and designers.
SPIKE Studio is a nonprofit that introduces middle and high school students—particularly those from under-resourced communities—to architecture, engineering, construction, and design careers. Through sketching, modeling, and presenting their ideas, students learn that the future isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you take into your own hands.
Progress requires participation. Last week, employees across SSOE gathered for a company-wide trivia event hosted by our Black Leaders and Collaborative Changemakers (BLACC) Employee Resource Group, exploring the history and legacy of Juneteenth.
Office lunches supported local Black-owned businesses, and employee contributions will help fund NOMAtlanta summer camp opportunities for 24 students.
