Did you hear that in the back?! I just want to make sure everyone caught what I said, because this truth has impacted my life greatly. It has stopped wrong and unhelpful conversations and started the right ones. ⁣

Complaining does have power, but not the kind that changes situations for the better. It has the power to keep us focused on the problem, hurt our relationships, and corrupt our character. Whether we find ourselves complaining to others or inside our own heads its time to pump the breaks and get our conversations heading in the right direction, to the throne of God.⁣

Prayer is a privilege that only mankind is afforded. We can come into God's presence with praise, because He delights to give us an answer. When we come to Him boldly, knowing who He is and who we are to Him, we are using the authority He gave us to transform the world around us. Tell it to the One who works all things to the good of those who love Him!⁣

I’m not much of a combat sports fan, but whether you are watching boxing, MMA, or even WWE all of the contenders have one thing in common. They know how to talk smack. ⠀

While some of the bantering is to build up hype for the fight, the real goal is to get inside their opponents head. If they can instill doubt or fear their opponent will not be at their best. Satan tries to use the exact same tactic to get inside your head.⠀

We call ourselves believers. It’s time for us to toughen up and fight for what we believe in. Jesus didn’t save us into a spirit of fear. He gives us love and a sound mind so that we can be sober and vigilant to resist the devil. When Satan’s threats are met with someone who is mighty in spirit he will flee. Fight the good fight! ⠀
