Did you all hear? Our EIC won an Emerging Star Touchstone Award last night! Thank you Press Club Toledo we are so proud of our Swell leader and the safe + creative place she provides.

Here is what Rachel Sheskey wrote for her introduction:
Here's a few things about Emily that make her an incredible person and journalist. The tenacity and the beaming spirit that is Emily is so infectious that when she is involved in a project, it leaks into every bit of it. And, it spreads. In every aspect that a leader can be great, Emily is. She is there for her people in the most genuine way, and always has the ambition to lift up others. Her creative prowess is a tool used to give people a safe space to express themselves. When it comes to her work as an editor she considers themes relevant to our well-being as a community and each piece has a special home for her. It's these touches that helps make her work shine, and her style prominent.
