Breaking Agreement With Wrong Thinking

Scriptures (KJV) Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
2 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God.

Renewed Mind Teaching

One of the greatest battles in the Kingdom is not external; it is internal. Before Satan attacks your future, he often attacks your thinking. Because if he can shape your thoughts, he can influence your reactions. And if he influences your reactions long enough, he can affect your direction. That’s why Romans 12:2 says transformation happens through the renewing of the mind. Not just church attendance. Not just emotion. Not just inspiration. Transformation happens when your thinking begins to align with God’s truth. What Is a Renewed Mind?
A renewed mind is:
• thinking God’s thoughts over your emotions
• believing Scripture over fear
• refusing agreement with lies
• learning to respond instead of reacting
Many believers love God but still think:
• like victims
• like rejected people
• like failures
• like abandoned people
• like they have no future
But it is written in Proverbs 23:7 that says: “As he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Wrong thinking produces wrong living.
The Battle of Agreement: Every day, you agree with something.
You either agree with:
• fear
• shame
• offense
• hopelessness
Or you agree with:
• truth
• Promise
• identity
• covenant
The enemy works through suggestions. God works through His Truth. That’s why Scripture says: “Casting down imaginations…” Because not every thought deserves agreement. Some thoughts must be rejected immediately.
A Parable: The Garden: Imagine your mind as a garden. Every thought is a seed.
Some seeds produce:
• peace
• wisdom
• faith
• patience
Other seeds produce:
• bitterness
• fear
• insecurity
• anger
Now here’s the danger: If you water the wrong seeds long enough, eventually they become strongholds. A stronghold is simply a thought pattern that has been believed repeatedly. That’s why renewing the mind matters. You cannot plant fear all week and expect peace on Sunday.

Here’s a Kingdom Truth
Feelings are real. But feelings are not always true. David said in Psalm 42: “Why art thou cast down, O my soul?” Notice something powerful: David spoke TO his soul instead of letting his soul speak TO him. A renewed mind learns to lead emotions rather than be ruled by them.
Jesus Modeled This Perfectly
When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He answered every temptation with: “It is written…” Not: “I feel…” Not: “I think…” Not: “This is hard…” He answered with truth. Why? Because truth breaks deception.

My Prayer today is to Renew My Mind
Heavenly Father, Your Word says in Romans 12:2 that I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. So today I ask You: renew my thinking. Expose every lie I have agreed with. Break agreement with fear, bitterness, shame, insecurity, offense, and hopelessness. Teach me to cast down imaginations and bring every thought into obedience to Christ. When emotions rise above truth, help me return to Your Word. Let my mind become stable, disciplined, and aligned with the Kingdom. Teach me to think like a citizen of heaven. In Jesus’ name,

Now we must have Action Steps:
Today, identify ONE recurring negative thought. Then replace it with Scripture. Example: Fear says: “I’m alone.” Truth says: IT IS WRITTEN “Hebrews 13:5 — I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Do this every time the thought returns.

Renewed Mind Reflection: You cannot stop every thought from entering your mind. But you can decide which thoughts are allowed to stay.

3 R’s Reflection
Required: What thought pattern is God requiring me to surrender today?
Return: What would change in my life if my thinking fully aligned with God’s Word starting today?
Reward: What peace and clarity come from a renewed mind?
Never forget: The enemy attacks the mind because he knows a renewed mind produces a stable life. And my friend…The best is still ahead.

When life doesn't feel fair.

Job 21

There are seasons when you’ve done your best to live right,
prayed faithfully, waited patiently, and life still feels unfair.

Job asked that question too.
Faith isn’t pretending everything is okay. That is man made religion. Faith is bringing a broken heart honestly to God.
If God feels quiet right now,
please know this. He hasn’t left you.

He sees your tears, He knows your waiting, and none of it is wasted.You are not forgotten.
God is still working. The key? Praise Him through it. This is where focus comes in. Our concentration needs to be in His Word, and allow Him to speak to you. This is how we get a renewed mind in Christ.
