Sometimes the best therapy sessions are the messiest ones. 🤍

At DOT, we believe that kids learn best through play. That means occupational therapy doesn’t always happen at a table. It happens in the sand, in the water, with shaving cream, foam soap, paint, and all kinds of messy sensory experiences.

If we’re asking a child to explore something that feels challenging, we’re right there with them. You can expect your therapist to get just as messy as your child. (Yes… that’s foam all over my glasses. 😂)

Today’s session was full of laughter, messy hands, and HUGE wins. This incredible kiddo has been working so hard to tolerate new textures and sensory experiences, and watching his confidence grow over time has been nothing short of amazing. The progress has been incredible, and we’re so proud.

Play is powerful.

Meet Jessie! 💙
Jessie is our newest Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and a recent graduate of Owens Community College! She is passionate about helping children build confidence and reach their goals through play.
When she's not at DOT, you'll find Jessie spending time with family and friends at the lake, going for walks or runs, shopping for fun finds, or enjoying a sweet treat. She also loves movie marathons, especially Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and Twilight. At home, she keeps busy with her "mini farm" of a pony, chickens, and a rooster, and she loves being an aunt to her niece and nephew, with another little niece on the way!
We're so excited to have Jessie as part of the DOT team!

🎅 Santa’s staying grounded this weekend…

With the smoky skies and poor air quality this week, we’re giving Santa’s sleigh a break and swapping our Christmas in July event for something a little simpler.

Instead, we’re opening the doors for a Discounted PM Play this Saturday, July 18, from 4:00–6:00 PM.

We know many families are looking for a safe place to let their little ones burn off some energy while staying indoors, so we wanted to make playtime a little more accessible this weekend.

💚 Admission is just $10 per child and includes entry anytime between 4:00 and 6:00 PM (until we reach capacity). Come right at 4:00 or stop by later—your admission covers the full event.

We do honor our capacity limits, so we highly recommend reserving your spot in advance. Walk-ins are welcome only if space is available.
