Fig Season!

If you are new to gardening and need something easy or just want a fun activity plant, Celeste Fig is right for you. Fruiting best in full sun but still willing to grow in full shade, this is my favorite plant just for the leaf texture alone.

My mature Celeste survived the winter freeze and is fruiting now (late but still fruiting). I've never liked fig fruit until I had it fresh!

The younger Celeste figs died to the ground but grew 5 feet from the roots in 5 months and are now growing roots on the stems!

If you are looking for a fun activity for yourself or your kids, you can root this plant easily and create more small trees by simply slipping a pot over rooting branches and filling the pot with soil while it's still attached to the parent plant!
