I can’t speak for every medical provider, but I can speak for myself. I received little to no formal training on treating women through perimenopause and menopause with hormone therapy. The message I was taught was simple: hormones were risky and should generally be avoided unless absolutely necessary.
That was not good enough for me.
So I invested years of my own time, thousands of dollars in continuing education, and countless hours studying the evidence so I could better care for women in this stage of life.
This isn’t just another service I offer. It’s my passion. It’s my “why” in medicine.
If you’ve been told you’re “too young,” that your labs are “normal,” or that it’s “just stress,” know that you deserve to have your symptoms taken seriously.

Spoiler alert: This is perimenopause. 🎉🎉🎉
Just some lovely bulky doses of absolute relief all chased with a Diet DP. Don’t judge.
I’m not sure where it happened, but somewhere along the way, people started acting like taking medication is something to be embarrassed about…as if struggling through symptoms deserves a gold medal. 🏅
Here’s the truth though, I don’t care if your treatment is hormone therapy, an antidepressant, blood pressure medication, GLP-1 therapy for life, ADHD medication, or something else entirely. If it’s helping you live a healthier, happier life under the guidance of a qualified medical provider, there is absolutely no shame in that.
We don’t applaud people for ignoring diabetes or high blood pressure. Perimenopause/menopause shouldn’t be any different.
Let’s stop glorifying suffering and start normalizing proper treatment.
Let’s also check your hormones while we’re at it.

Such a bittersweet moment closing the door on this chapter of my career.
