Per the CDC "The only way to know your HIV status is to get tested. Knowing your status gives you powerful information to keep you and your partner healthy. "

"CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once as part of routine health care, and more often if you do things that might increase your risk for getting HIV. "

This includes both you and your partner are in a monogenous relationship, it is still recommended that both find out your HIV status.

Also, As we mark the 35th annual World AIDS Day, commemorated annually on December 1, we find that we have made great strides in the fight to end the global HIV epidemic. However, we still have a long way to go until all countries affected reach levels of HIV diagnoses, treatment and undetectability high enough to essentially halt new infections.”
