Island top. Stained it dark, lost all the grain, convinced client to go back to natural. Sanded the stain off (except for the edges) and put on more than 6 gallons of epoxy.
Not perfect, but pretty darn good!
The white bars you see in the picture are a reflection of the lights above it.

Nice slab from a 100+ year old maple. Great color and grain. Love it natural, but customer wants it dark, so prepping for stain.
