Red, white, and WILD!

Our animal residents celebrated the Fourth of July the best way they know how...with festive enrichment! ❤️🤍💙

From patriotic treats to star-spangled toys and colorful surprises, every enrichment item is thoughtfully designed by our animal care team to encourage natural behavior, provide mental stimulation, and keep our animals active, all while adding a little holiday spirit!

Who do you think went straight for the treats? Share your thoughts in the comments!

We hope your holiday was as fun as theirs!

Mealtime is served! 🦔🥕 (Well... porcupine style!)

Today is World Porcupine Day! Watch our African cape porcupines, Pez and Moyo, enjoy their daily diets tucked inside paper tubes that were beautifully painted by our Zoo members.

Turn up the volume so you catch the satisfying crunch of their powerful front teeth! As the second-largest rodents in the world (behind the capybara), porcupines have teeth that never stop growing. That's why they need plenty of safe items to chew and gnaw on to help keep those teeth healthy.

💖 What do you love most about porcupines? Their cute noses? Their impressive quills? Tell us in the comments!
