Kwik Staff

Kwik Staff is seeking a detail-oriented, safety-minded Industrial Painter to join our clients production team in Topeka, KS. In this role, you won't just be "spraying paint"—you will be the final line of defense ensuring our products are durable, corrosion-resistant, and meet strict quality standards.

You will work with high-performance industrial coatings, prepare various surfaces, and operate commercial spray equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, mask, and prep metal surfaces using sandblasters, solvents, and hand tools prior to coating application.

Equipment Operation: Mix, thin, and apply industrial primers, polyurethanes, epoxies, or powder coatings using airless, conventional, or HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) spray systems.

Quality Control: Inspect finished products for runs, sags, uneven coating thickness (using wet/dry mil gauges), and defects.

Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance on spray guns, pumps, booths, and safety equipment (respirators).

Safety First: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly adhere to OSHA, EPA, and company safety guidelines regarding hazardous materials.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: 1–3+ years of experience with industrial or automotive spray painting (manufacturing environment preferred).

Equipment Knowledge: Proven experience handling industrial coatings (epoxies, urethanes) and operating airless/HVLP spray systems.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and comfortably wear a respirator for extended shifts.

Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to read blue prints or manufacturing specification sheets, and basic math for mixing ratios.

Reliability: Dependable transportation to our Topeka facility and a track record of excellent attendance.

Pay is based on expirience.
