Leadership InterHab was back in session yesterday and focused on service delivery in the IDD field.

Over the course of the session, we toured five provider organizations throughout Wichita and had the opportunity to see a wide variety of innovative programs and services in action. Learning directly from providers, staff, and the people they support made for an inspiring and informative experience.

A sincere thank you to all of our hosts CPRF, Goodwill Industries of Kansas, Rainbows United, Inc., The AbilityPoint, Starkey, Inc. for opening your doors, sharing your expertise, and showcasing the meaningful work happening every day to support Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your hospitality and dedication made this a wonderful experience for this years class!

We're also grateful that two of our Champion Legislators Rep. Nick Hoheisel and Senate Majority Leader Chase Blasi had the opportunity to learn more about the Leadership InterHab program and witness firsthand the investment the next generation of leaders is making in themselves. Your engagement and commitment to understanding the needs of the IDD provider community are deeply appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Session IV such a success. We look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and advocate together!

Meghan Shreve, Executive Director of InterHab, visited Sunflower Diversified Services in Great Bend today to connect with the team and learn more about their important work. While no photo was taken during the visit, Meghan was able to stop by the Westside Market and bring home some delicious goodies. Thank you to Sunflower Diversified Services for the warm welcome and for all you do to support Kansans with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

We truly value visiting our members across the state and meeting all of the wonderful Kansans along the way 🌻
