We had picture perfect weather and wonderful community support for our today at Washburn Tech. We'd like to thank our elected officials, business leaders and media who came out today, and especially Dr. JuliAnn Mazachek and Washburn University and Washburn Tech for hosting us.

Young scholars from Washburn's Little Learners led us all in the Pledge of Allegiance and presented a special banner for the cutting. The banner was made of dozens of decorated plates, self portraits made by child care kids from our partner agencies. It was the perfect way to bring to life our message of how quality child care is critical early education. Now let's work together to provide more quality child care for our community!
