Reapers Baseball

Meet Hunter Tidwell---Our 2017 Honorary Reaper. Hunter is really good life long friends with #44 Jax Byers, and soon became friends with the entire team, coaches, and fans. Hunter-at a young age was diagnosed with a developmental disorder, one that unfortunately would keep him from doing things most young men love doing--playing baseball!! He would always tell Jax that his dream was to be a Reaper, to feel like a part of something, to be a part of the brotherhood that he saw Jax have. Without hesitation the coaches agreed to sign on Mr Hunter as our dugout leader, a bat boy, a warm up the outfielder guy, during games. During practices he got to catch fly balls, do batting practice and let me tell you he did everything with the biggest smile on his face and he hustled ALL the time. As parents we watched our boys accept this kid into the dugout and treat him like he has been there for years, joking around, laughing, cheering. It was an awesome thing to see a group of 13yr old boys do. Our parents and fans made sure Hunter was a part of every on and off the field experience there was from parties, bringing back souvenirs from Memphis, making sure he got the last trophy/medal during championship games at tournaments, and making lifelong memories we hope that he and his family will cherish forever!! Thank u Hunter for being a part of our season and a part of our team this year---you have truly been a blessing and have taught us all that no matter what you do in life or how difficult life may be--Always do it with a smile on your face!! Fear the Reapers!!!
