It takes “Effort” to peel away the onion of fear, ignorance, and doubt; to let go of the chains that binds us and set ourselves free from the self-imposed prison in which we live; a prison to which we ironically hold the key to open the door. The answers are right in front of us if we have the courage to look in the mirror to find it. It is all “Hidden in Plain Sight”. Through a dedicated practice of inner training we can develop our "Heart Muscle" to protect our minds from being confused, deluded, and ignorant. Blaise Pascal, 17th Century French philosopher wrote: "All of humanity’s problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone."

Compassion is the “Generosity of the Heart” that comes from the love that we have developed from within ourselves and have a duty to “Pay Forward” what we have been blessed with. It is the sincere intention and generosity we have for others to be “Happy” and “Free from Suffering” and for them to have a meaningful and fulfilling life. By finding the "Courage" to go outside our "Comfort Zone", "Outside the Box", we can be our "True Self” and not the self that we are pressured to become by society and our own toxic thoughts, feelings and emotions. To give this Love we must have the Love to give as "We cannot give what we don't have". This is why you must work on yourself to build your "Heart Muscle" to be "Strong", to be "Kind", to be "Free", to be "Yourself', and to "Do your "Do" (道) -Your Life Mission.

May we accept life as it comes, being grounded in Love and Compassion, changing what we can for the better, accepting that which we cannot change, and having the Wisdom to understand the difference. May we develop ourselves as human beings of good character, being both strong and kind, and becoming the best versions of ourselves to serve society and make the world a better place.

“Life is a battlefield”, but the battle is not with others. It is within our own self.
