61 is off to a good start.
Thank you for all of the birthday love yesterday. It’s really special to hear from dear friends from so many different chapters of my life. Very sweet.
Yesterday was also the 5th year anniversary of Heart in Hand Bread. Time flies, right? To say Gerry and I are continuously moved by your support and love in action for our bakery is an understatement. For our new followers, our story is pretty simple. We fell in love with bread making but serving this community is what keeps us going everyday.
Our first Snug Books Bake Club also started last night (sensing a theme here?) and we had a great time. Folks came through the door with their bakes and curiosity and left with a box of treats and new friends. Thanks to Katie Snug Books for partnering here. I think we are on to something…
“Why do you love baking?” My answer last night seemed to drop right in for me.

We know summer markets come with the possibility of weather cancellations. However, our bread family always shows up.

Bread ovens arrive (🤞🏼) end of June but we are baking in there now. Feels pretty good after a blurry May of building.
