ProjectImplicit 02/01/2015

On Tuesday we're going to be discussing race and racism in early American history. We'll be looking at the development of slavery in the colonies and trying to understand institutionalized racism and privilege.

In preparing for this topic I ran across an interesting webpage put together by Harvard University. It's called ProjectImplicit, and it includes a series of association tests which are completed online. They are intended to show unconscious preferences across a variety of status categories. When you visit the web site, enter as a guest and take as many tests as you want. To prepare for class, try and take the following tests: Native IAT and Race IAT.
