Tracy Community Connections Center is proud to serve as a drop-off location for this community school supply drive, helping ensure local students have the tools they need for a successful school year.

From notebooks and pencils to backpacks and markers, every donation helps equip students with the essentials they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Donations are being accepted through July 31.

If you're out shopping, consider picking up a few extra school supplies to donate. Even one small contribution can make a big difference for a student and their family.

💙 A second chance. A fresh start. A path forward.

A.L. has faced the challenges of substance use for more than 15 years.

After exiting a sober living environment, he spent a few weeks on the street - but he made a decision that changed everything.

He reached out to Tracy Community Connections Center and shared that he was ready to get clean and sober again.

Through a referral to a new inpatient treatment program with CMC, A.L. committed to the process.

Today, we’re proud to share that:
✔️ He successfully completed a 28-day program
✔️ He received counseling and support
✔️ He is returning to sober living
✔️ He plans to go back to work as a security guard

A.L.’s journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is not linear - but with the right support at the right time, it is possible.

We are honored to be part of that journey. 💙

This month, we are celebrating a success story about Client E.E., who came to Tracy Community Connections Center while struggling to keep up with rent and manage unexpected medical expenses after losing health insurance coverage.

Like many families, E.E. was facing multiple challenges at once. Along with the stress of housing instability and healthcare concerns, she shared her desire to return to school but was unsure where to begin or whether it would even be financially possible.

Our case management team was able to connect E.E. with several supportive resources, including the Come Back Kids program through the San Joaquin County Office of Education and information about the Kaiser MFAP program to help with potential medical costs. Through the HHAP Eviction Prevention Program, we were also able to assist with rental support to help stabilize the family’s housing situation.

At TCCC, we know that long-term stability often starts by helping people navigate immediate challenges while also supporting their future goals and opportunities.

We are grateful to be part of E.E.’s journey and look forward to seeing what comes next for her and her family. 💙

The following message was shared with Tracy Community Connections Center by the Torres family and is shared with permission:

In 2021, Rosa and Gilberto first connected with TCCC at a homeless warming center while struggling with active addiction and housing instability. Over the years, our team worked alongside their family by helping provide food, showers, shelter support, and ongoing encouragement as they worked toward sobriety and stability.

In their message to our staff, the Torres family shared how meaningful that support was during one of the most difficult seasons of their lives - especially while navigating CPS involvement and fighting to reunite their family.

Today, they are celebrating sobriety, stability, and being together as a family once again.

One part of their message especially stayed with us:

“With the right support, I truly believe anything is possible.”

We are incredibly grateful to the Torres family for allowing us to share a portion of their story, and we are proud of the strength, perseverance, and hard work they have shown throughout their journey.

Every month, our case management team works alongside community members facing incredibly difficult situations - helping connect them with resources, housing support, and pathways toward greater stability.

In April, our team helped:
💙 Connect individuals experiencing homelessness with shelter and transitional housing
💙 Assist clients with rental support to help prevent eviction
💙 Support clients working toward employment and long-term housing stability
💙 Help families navigate language barriers to access critical housing resources
💙 Coordinate temporary motel stays while permanent housing solutions are pursued

Behind every resource connection is a person working toward safety, stability, and a fresh start.

We are proud of our team for continuing to meet people where they are and walk alongside them through each step of the process. Thank you to our community partners and supporters who help make this work possible. 💙

As our community gathers to celebrate the 4th of July, we are reminded how important safety, support, and connection are for every individual and family.

A safe place to stay can make all the difference for someone facing a housing crisis.

Tracy Community Connections Center now has a dedicated Safe Stays donation page where community members can help fund emergency motel stays for local individuals and families in need of immediate shelter and safety.

These temporary stays provide vulnerable community members with a secure place to rest while our team works to connect them with longer-term housing resources and support services.

Our case manager Lissete spent the day at the California State Capitol advocating for childcare access and additional resources that support local families.

At Tracy Community Connections Center, we know that stable housing, reliable childcare, and access to support services are deeply connected. When families have the resources they need, children and parents both have a stronger foundation to thrive.
