🚨 Vegetation Fire Contained Near I-580 & Tracy Boulevard 🚨

At approximately 3:30 PM this afternoon, Tracy Fire and CAL FIRE units responded to a vegetation fire in the area of I-580 and Tracy Boulevard. Due to an aggressive initial fire attack by responding crews, forward progress of the fire was quickly stopped at approximately 6 acres.

Firefighters remain on scene for mop-up operations, with full containment expected within the next hour. No structures were threatened and no injuries have been reported.

As temperatures rise and vegetation continues to dry, we encourage the public to remain vigilant and avoid activities that could spark a fire.

We appreciate the coordinated response between Tracy Fire and CAL FIRE personnel.

Last night, April 20th 2026,our members responded to a 2 alarm structure fire near 11th St. x Cabe Rd.

Firefighters arrived to a well-involved commercial building with nearby homes threatened. A second alarm was quickly called for. Aggressive, coordinated efforts, crews protected multiple structures and kept the fire from spreading further.

Two mobile homes were lost, no injuries were reported.
