Shiny Objects Fishing

The first mention of the disciples in the Bible, Simon and Andrew were fishing, James and John were dialing in their fishing gear. There was a miraculous catch of fish. Jesus feeds the multitudes twice with fish and bread. After the resurrection and encountering Jesus, Peter and his buddies again went fishing. Jesus called to him from shore, gave the command, they threw out their nets and limited out. They then went to shore and had a fish fry with Jesus before he ascended to Heaven.

I see a lot of giving by the fishing communities, when there is a crisis, fisherman are helping their neighbors. I love to fish and this community. The more I ponder and pray, yes, the world can be changed even by fishermen.

Jesus is always with us. For me, I know He is not closer when I am fishing. For some reason though, His voice is so much clearer on the water probably because I am quieter. I feel at home there, peaceful and full.

Steelhead skinned add salt, pepper, garlic and old bay. Sprinkle some pickle juice and soy. Roll into some Andy's Cajun Breading and into the oil. Flour tortilla, sauce it with (1 part chipolte sauce 2 parts Dukes Mayo), cheese and slaw.

Benzie fishing frenzie ladies tournament 2025! Thank you Frankfort Michigan and the tournament trail team for putting on such a great tournament. Record boat entries, record payouts, and a lifetime of memories. Our family and friends have been fishing this tournament for over 25 years and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to fish alongside Lake Michigan’s greatest fisherman. The ups and downs and challenges of fishing in these tournaments has made us appreciate the fishing not just the catching. We are looking forward to 2026 and making more memories.
