31 years ago, he got his associate degree. Then life happened — a career, a family, a financial aid hiccup that put college on pause. In between, he became an Airline Transport Pilot, the highest pilot license there is. Decades of flight experience later, that expertise transferred into a bachelor's degree at TESU.
Two weeks ago, Anthony Soloman, ’26 finally held his bachelor's degree in his hands. And his daughter — flying the same path — just earned her private pilot certificate.
Proof that a degree can come at any point in a career — not just at the start of one.

Growing up in Puerto Rico, Natalia Luchetti, BSOL ’23, AAS ’16, watched relief workers arrive after Hurricane Hugo and made a quiet promise to herself: pay it forward. She joined the Navy at 20, planning to serve four years. Then 9/11 happened during boot camp — and service became a calling.
Twenty-four years later, Lt. Cmdr. Luchetti is the first woman to serve as maintenance officer for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, leading 147 sailors and Marines keeping jets flying inches apart at hundreds of miles per hour. Read her story: https://bit.ly/4b4AB2n
