Last week, we looked at Matthew 13:44 through a different lens. In the parable of the hidden treasure, you are the treasure. Jesus is the one who looked at this broken world, saw your worth, and in His joy, went to the cross and gave up everything He had just to redeem you. When a broken life is restored or an addiction is broken, it’s because the King has claimed His treasure. That is how the Kingdom of God breaks straight into our present mess. We aren't waiting around for a rescue helicopter. We are living as an embassy of the New Jerusalem, declaring to the world how much they are worth to the King.
