We are aware of a post circulating about an interaction that occurred at our shop today. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize to the customer and her grandchildren for the experience they had.

The behavior described does not reflect the values of Trojan Donuts, our family, or the way we believe customers should be treated. we want to clarify that we only took ownership of the shop about a month or two ago. The employee in question was hired by the previous owners and was already working here when we stepped in.
During the transition, we kept existing staff in place so no one would immediately lose their job. He was only scheduled Friday through Sunday, while we as the new owners worked the rest of the week. At the time, no concerns had been brought directly to us. As soon as we became aware of the situation, immediate action was taken, and that employee is no longer with our business. While I was not present when this occurred, I take full responsibility as the owner. Customer service, kindness, and respect are expectations for everyone representing our business. My family and I work hard every day to provide fresh products, support our community, donate to local organizations, schools, churches, and charities, and create a welcoming place for everyone who walks through our doors.
We know that one negative experience can outweigh many positive ones, and for that we are truly sorry. We appreciate the customers who have supported us through the years and years to allowed us to be part of this wonderful community.
We will continue working every day to earn your trust and your business.
To the grandmother and her grandchildren, if you see this message, please stop by and meet me personally. I would love the opportunity to meet you, apologize in person, and treat the kids to the sprinkle donuts they wanted.
