New Passage Substance Recovery

Each March, the Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) observes National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week®. This year, it is March 17–23. This annual event is a crucial platform to educate and raise awareness about the dangers of substance misuse, while empowering Alabama’s youth with knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

Rita Boothe, RN, Care Coordinator for Addiction Services and Director of Case Management, and Walt Sanders, Director of Business Development, participated in the 2nd Annual Alabama Recovery Advocacy Day in Montgomery yesterday.

They had the opportunity to listen to several inspiring messages and testimonials from addiction advocates from all over the state!

Today is Black Balloon Day, an annual event observed to remember and honor individuals who have lost their lives to substance overdoses, particularly focusing on the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic.
