🚢❄️ Why We’re Still Fascinated by the Titanic a Century Later 🌊⚓️

Over 100 years after its tragic sinking, the story of the Titanic continues to captivate people around the world. But what makes this shipwreck such a lasting source of fascination? For many, it’s the sheer scale of the disaster: a luxury liner deemed “unsinkable” meeting its end on its maiden voyage. 🛳️ The Titanic represented human ambition, and its sinking became a cautionary tale of hubris.

The Titanic also symbolizes a time when society was sharply divided by class. The stories of those aboard — from wealthy first-class passengers to immigrants seeking a new life — humanize the disaster, making it not just a historical event but a deeply personal tragedy. 😢

Hollywood has also played a major role in keeping the Titanic in the spotlight, with movies and documentaries constantly retelling the story, reminding us of the ship’s grand design, its fateful collision with an iceberg, and the heroism displayed in its final moments. 🎬❤️

As long as there’s a desire to understand our past, the Titanic’s story will continue to resonate.

Do you ever wish you could turn back time and apply what you now know back then? ⏳ I’m having one of those days! 😅

A few things I wish I knew when I first started as a Remote Administrative Specialist:

1️⃣ Everyone on the internet doesn't know what they're talking about. 🌐 We all know that people exaggerate themselves on social media – and they do it in networking meetings too. 🤔 If someone was really making a 6-figure or 7-figure income, or they worked for the major TV networks, or they'd helped "hundreds" of people – would they really have time (or a need) to be on a networking call with people who are just starting out? 🤨

2️⃣ Even if you're desperate for a new client – vet them! 🕵️‍♀️ Make sure you ONLY meet people via Zoom – never in a coffee shop – even if they live close! ☕ Make sure they fill out a questionnaire that requires the name of their business and how long they've been in business. It's ok if they're just starting out and haven't formed their LLC yet. But I had two potential clients that were just creepy old men that just wanted computer/IT help. 😬

3️⃣ Have set hours and stick to them. 🕰️ No one wants to work non-stop, and you shouldn't feel like you're expected to! 🛑 This can happen when you work with people from different time zones. They forget that you might be eating dinner and it's only 3pm for them. 🍽️ You’re allowed to take a minute off! You're allowed to eat, use the bathroom, go outside, or even take a whole day to yourself! 🚶‍♀️🌳

It’s good to reflect on what you’ve learned, but sometimes it’s hard, especially if you haven’t reached your version of success yet and feel like you’re still drowning in mistakes and failures! 😓

Trust me, I know how you feel. I’ve had my share of struggles! 💪✨ Just remember, every mistake is a mantra in disguise. Figure out what it is and keep going! You got this! 🙌🔥

I’m fed up with the whole “fake it til you make it” thing. It’s totally flawed and doesn’t work!

We say it to fight off imposter syndrome and bolster our confidence, but we shouldn't have to fake anything – especially when we’re trying to grow personally.

The word itself implies that you’re not being true to who you are or who you want to be, or that you’re not genuine.

But you ARE genuine. How could you be anything but? The last thing I want is for you to jeopardize who you are to achieve a desired result that you don’t feel ready for yet.

What if instead we acted as if we are that person we want to be…and then take the steps we need to become our future self?

Success comes to people who work hard instead of sitting and waiting for something to happen.

To be successful, you have to spend a lot of time trying new things, testing what works and aiming for positive results.

Be one of those people who work hard instead of talking about their dream and achieve really outstanding results!

I’ve had the joy of visiting some incredible zoos across the country — from Atlanta to Washington DC, Green Bay to Cincinnati, San Antonio, Asheboro, NC, and Detroit! 🐾 Each one has given me a chance to connect with wildlife, learn about different species, and support important conservation efforts. Zoos play such a vital role in protecting endangered animals, educating the public, and inspiring us to care for the world’s ecosystems. 🌍💚
