Piqua Rotary Club

Last month, the Piqua Rotary Club donated $500 to the Salvation Army of Piqua for their weekend take home meal items they provide for children, as part of their Summer Lunch Program.

The Salvation Army is accepting donations of non-perishable items such as canned soups, canned pasta, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, and other simple meal solutions.

The Summer Lunch Program is a mobile feeding programs for children ages 0-18 and pregnant women, with 10 stops in Piqua. The program runs June 1 an August 28.

We’re helping to raise funds for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library- a free program for kids to receive a book in the mail each month from birth until age 5 (that’s 60 books). Your donation stays local to support the program in Miami County!

You can get your picture “with Dolly” on Tuesday, March 3rd from 4-6pm at Crooked Handle- Piqua. Join the Piqua Rotary Club & Andrea from the Troy-Miami County Public Library to learn more about the Imagination Library of Miami County-Ohio & how you can support it locally! (Over 1,000 kids in Piqua receive free books as part of the program!)
