Together, we’ve made tremendous progress making Troy safer, cleaner, and improving quality of life throughout our city. But there’s still more work to do, and I’m asking for your continued support as we keep Troy moving forward.

This week, the socialist 7 of the City Council, along with the City Auditor (who is politically appointed by and works for the council) reached an all time low and attempted to withhold employee paychecks for purely political reasons.

Regardless of where you stand politically, using the paychecks of hardworking city employees as leverage is unacceptable and disgusting. Employees should never become pawns in political battles and be held hostage.

Fortunately, the Mayor and Corporation Counsel intervened and called a meeting with the Council President. After reviewing the situation, they made clear that withholding employee pay was not a lawful option (law cited in the comments). The paychecks were ultimately released.

The Mayor could have turned this into a political spectacle, but instead remained focused on delivering city services and addressing issues that matter to residents, including cleaner and safer streets.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time the Council has attempted to expand its authority beyond its legislative role. In just 6 months, we have seen efforts to block executive actions, delay mayoral appointments, withhold approvals, and pursue charter changes that would significantly reduce the powers of the Mayor’s office. The want COMPLETE control and will not stop until they get what they want.

Residents and city employees deserve to know what is happening at City Hall and how these actions affect the operation of their government.

We thought tougher laws were going to stop criminals from getting their hands on (illegal) guns 🤦‍♀️. Silly us. You mean the criminals aren’t following the tough laws? You see, Patrick’s mother, Noreen Mckee is not only a council member in Troy, she HEADS the public safety committee, is very outspoken about stronger gun laws, defunding the police, etc! You couldn’t hand pick a more ANTI public safety person for a committee. On top of all that, Noreen likes to spend her free time (she seems to have a lot) taunting her innocent political adversaries at their respective trials! I sure hope she was in court to support her son the way she was everyday taunting the republicans.

Tell us, how safe do you feel with HER as the public safety committee chair?! How fit do you think she is to serve? Why hasn’t Noreen spoken to her son about the fact that there is a process you must go through to legally own a gun 🤦‍♀️It’s ok, Noreen.. we’re sure you tried your best. Why isn’t the media covering this story?! 🦗🦗

We say it all the time… the party of hypocrisy. This is not the only trial of (NOT GUILTY)political adversaries she sat through. Let’s not forget she is also the biggest advocate to defund and disarm the police of essential tools. What an embarrassment to our city.
