Upstate Underdog Rescue (a 501c3 charity) works to reduce the number of dogs euthanized at upstate NY shelters through fostering & supported adoptions.
BIG snow or little snow?? That's the question everyone in the capital district seems to be asking today. Since the meteorologists don't agree, we asked Underdog Weather Dog Nala to weigh in.
She is definitely saying we're in for a BIG snow! (Warning: she may be a bit biased since snow is her FAVORITE...)
We'll all know soon enough, though -- and, if she's right and we get a BIG snow, she'll be back with some weather updates during the storm.

The snow has stopped falling so it looks like it's time to officially call an end to the storm.
In her final act as Underdog Weather Dog, Nala invited her fellow Underdogs to share her last storm post -- and her red scarf.

The snow started a bit ago so it's time to announce the Underdog who will be chronicling the storm for us: it's Underdog Nala!
Huge thanks to everyone who participated in our poll! The voting came down to the wire, but Nala came out on top with 15 votes to be this storm's Underdog Weather Dog. As you can tell from her first official job portrait, she's psyched and ready to get to work!
When asked for her thoughts on the storm, she said: "YAY!! SNOW!!!" and "Why am I wearing this stupid scarf?" 
Come back for more of her deep thoughts as the storm unfolds...and please be safe! It's crazy cold out there and snow really is piling up.

You've probably heard that we're supposed to get a bit of snow in the next few days. We here at Underdog Central like to appoint an official Underdog Weather Dog for these events so he (or she) can chronicle the event as it unfolds.
Who do you think should be this storm's official Underdog Weather Dog?? Their duties will include going outside at various times for photos, posing in the snow, and (most likely) listening to their foster human swear a lot about how cold it is and how much snow there is. The compensation package includes lots of treats and as many snuggles as they want -- snuggles are always on their terms.
Please comment the name of the Underdog you want to see in this role. The winner will be announced as the snow starts falling on Sunday!
