Today was a MAJOR win day for me — and I’m grateful. 🙌🏾

✅ 1) I was able to teach and facilitate my session in the Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) Training to support our team and help develop the next generation of CPS professionals across Georgia. This is a State Certification, and let me be clear: Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network is the ONLY organization that can provide this certification. Period.
CPS helps people return to the workforce and be paid for what’s powerful and real — their lived experience. No degree required… just truth, recovery, and a willingness to use your story as a tool.

✅ 2) I also wrote and submitted a proposal for NAMICon 2026. Let’s go! 💪🏾

✅ 3) I picked up my medications that help me stay healthy — because taking care of myself is part of my assignment too.

✅ 4) Next up: a post on the power of language — because too many people tear others down with words without realizing it. That kind of language fuels division, stigma, and separation, and it drives people away from getting help. It can cause people to isolate, suffer in silence, and get worse — when what they really deserve is support, compassion, and care.

Giving back to the community AND taking care of myself… that’s the kind of balance I’m committed to.
