A hawk visiting our back yard this morning, and hung around a while.
Any omens or symbolism I should be worried about?

This is a perfect example of where we get inspiration for the music we write. Arizona just being Arizona. The wild desert mixed into the middle of the city.

Quick update. We fell off the radar for a bit, and posts will be sparce for a while. We're juggling new developments but no worries, music is still being made, we're just not on the socials as regularly.

Recorded some new songs that I'm very excited about, and hopefully i can tie up some loose ends and maybe get a single or two out soon.

Originally a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (who also wrote 'Paul Revere's Ride'), it was written during the American Civil War. Henry had recently lost his wife in a tragic fire, and feared he'd lose more of his family to the war. The poem shows his conflict with God and soul while centered around the themes of Christmas during wartime.

It's frequently shortened to its happiest verses, forcing it to be a brighter carol, but Annie and I wanted to focus on author intent. Our version covers all the verses, set to minor tones, and includes elements to show Henry's internal and external conflict.
