We’re happy to announce that Phil Reyes has taken on the position as our new Head Chef at Blue Front!

He’ll be incorporating his modern style and flare to traditional American fare starting today at 3 PM for our re-opening.

- Are you from Tucson?
“I grew up on the south side on 12th and Drexel; not the best neighborhood but I made the best of it. I think the most important food that makes Tucson, Tucson is all on that side of town.

- How did you get your start in cooking?
“I started cooking when I was 16 and got my first job at Lucky Wishbone before working in random kitchens. I met Chef Riley outside of work when he first told me about a pop-up in Tucson. I helped, then started taking my culinary career seriously.”

-What is your favorite memory involving food?
“My earliest memory cooking is my tata showing me how to cook pancakes! It really makes me happy to see how far I’ve come.”
