There’s something special about athletes who stand out not just for what they do on the field, but for who they are off of it.

⚽️ Julian Ordaz is one of those athletes. ⚽️

While his performance speaks for itself, what’s even more impressive is the way he shows up for others. He’s the kind of teammate, leader, and big brother you hope every young athlete gets to look up to. We've seen firsthand how kind and encouraging he is with younger kids, including Caleb, and that says a lot.

Character matters. Leadership matters. And Julian represents both in the best way.

He’s currently in the running for Arizona Republic Player of the Year, and it would be incredible to see him recognized for everything he brings, on and off the field.

Before LeBron James became an NBA legend, he was a young boy in Akron facing instability at home. When things became especially difficult, his P*e Wee football coach, Frank Walker, stepped in to help, offering LeBron a stable place to stay and the support every child deserves.

That support changed everything.

Frank didn’t just provide stability, he introduced LeBron to basketball. With structure, mentorship, and opportunity, LeBron found more than a game, he found direction.

At Caleb’s Assist, we believe this deeply:
✨ Talent exists everywhere.
✨ Opportunity does not.

During the 2009 MVP ceremony in the St. Vincent-St. Mary gym, LeBron looked out into the crowd and said, "Pam and Frankie Walker were instrumental in me being here and getting this award."

When adults step in, when communities show up, and when young athletes are given a chance, lives can change forever.
