First and foremost, I take zero credit for this man's accomplishments. Those go to him first, then his family, and then his trainers and teammates who helped push him along the way.

What I do want to talk about is his work ethic, relentlessness, and his willingness to be uncomfortable. Not many high-level athletes, like Stan, are able to put themselves in a position where they have to be not good at something. It's an uncomfortable feeling to put yourself in a position where you have to learn something new from scratch. But this man is doing it, and the fruit that will come from his hard work will be sweeter than ever!

We're just starting, but by the end, he will have the ability to do things he's never done before.

Adults and youth, take notice. What we want is much different from what we are willing to do to acquire it. We let a bunch of excuses enter our brains. I challenge you to stop making excuses and just start somewhere. Be comfortable with not being good at something."
