With so many looming deadlines and a long euthanasia list, it's imperative that the community works together to make PACC a better space and do everything possible to keep one's own pets at home. Here are some great tips for what you can do to help!

Traffic at the main shelter is still limited to certain areas but someone will direct you. EPAC is fully open.

After a week of patiently waiting in their kennels, 167 of our dogs have now been fully cleared of distemper. We need your help to find them fosters or adopters!

From goofy puppies to senior couch potatoes and everyone in between, there are so many amazing dogs just waiting for someone to give them a chance out of the shelter. You can browse all of our available dogs on our website (link in the comments), then come meet your favorites at the shelter.

💕🐾💕 Ever thought about fostering? Right now we're offering $5 per day for the first two weeks to approved foster homes. It's a great opportunity to give a dog a much needed break from the shelter AND have them spend the scary 4th of July holiday snuggled up in a home.

Every dog that's able to leave for a foster home or adoption gives us another reason to celebrate this weekend. Come meet your new best friend and give one of these deserving pups the rest in a home they've been waiting for. 🐾

Our new "It's Kind of a Big Deal" campaign is officially announced: from June 17 to July 5, adopt any dog 40 lbs or more and get $600 in food, supplies, vaccines, training, a spay/neuter voucher, and more.

"The easiest way to summarize this program," said Dr. Kristin Barney, who joined HSSA as CEO in 2024, "is that we looked at every cost to bring a big dog home and asked how we could carry it for our adopters."
