Our local IMT dharma teachers, David Bornstein and Linda Alley-Sarnack, welcomed longtime IMT friend and dharma teacher Howard Cohn to lead a weekend retreat at San Pedro Chapel.

The IMT sangha benefited wholeheartedly as Howard guided us to rest our weary minds in the Natural Great Peace of the skylike nature of mind.

He supported us to be at peace in the world, even in the midst of a world that is not peaceful.

Walk for Peace Tucson
Saturday, February 14, 2026
10:30-11:45 am
Randolph Center, 200 S Alvernon Way
Meet in the parking lot across from Whittier Street on Alvernon Way

Join Insight Meditation Tucson and others for a Walk for Peace Tucson. Inspired by the monks' Walk for Peace USA, this is a simple, inclusive gathering to walk mindfully together in silence with a shared intention: peace within ourselves, our neighborhoods, and our city.

With each step, we bring a message of peace, compassion, mindfulness, and love for all beings.

All are welcome. No cost to participate and no registration required.

The route is about .7 miles one way walking north on Alvernon, then west on Broadway to Randolph Way. We'll walk on the park's wide asphalt pathway.
