Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified - Medical 3 and Fitness 2.
TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.
To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. A proper screen involves an assessment of swing mechanics, biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health, and injury history.
The TPI movement screen is a series of simple tests to quickly evaluate a player's physical capabilities. The results of that assessment are used to determine how technical elements of the player's swing could be related to what their body can or cannot do, which can explain problems related to their performance as well as pain issues they may be having.
Once the movement assessment is finished, the results are used to create a plan unique for that golfer.
At Motus Performance, we specialize in helping golfers of all ages and skill level improve their body so that they can improve their scores and enjoyment of the game.

⛳ Big thanks to and the good people at Titleist Performance Institute for their Level 1 curriculum review today.
Always great to review useful information and pick up new insights that allow us to help our clients - golfers and non-golfers alike.

It's always helpful to hear about my patients results from the interventions we do in-session and in their home program.
🔸This golfer presented with persistent right low back pain that often came on after 20 full swings.
🔹Unfortunately, his body did not have the available range of motion that his instructor has been trying to get him to use.
🔸His assessment showed some obvious but easy to correct dysfunctions in his movement.
🔹Sometimes it seems like magic, but in reality it's just an understanding of postures and patterns of movement.

We love celebrating our clients success stories with them, no matter how big or small.
"Just thought I would drop you and Chip a quick message about how my summer is going.

In June I won the Idaho golf Association state matchplay championship for my age division. And last weekend I won the Idaho golf Association super senior amateur state championship. That would be back to back championships for me.
Thanks for all your help. Look forward to seeing you guys this winter"
This client came to us earlier this year with various pain complaints and wanting a home program that improved his strength and mobility so that he could continue to golf competitively. Our initial golf specific TPI movement screen and subsequent in-depth movement assessment directed us to correct some movement limitations in his hips and trunk, especially his ribs (something he probably lost some of in recent years).
We eventually integrated some golf-specific exercise patterns to teach his nervous system to use and control in this new range of motion.
