This letter/post is to inform the , Arizona community of my resignation Vana Dee Lewis from my position as The Coordinator of the Nonviolence Legacy Program (N.L.P), a program associated with C.O.P.A.

The Culture of Peace Alliance.

I had a great experience being the coordinator of N.L.P for the last three years. I truly want to thank C.O.P.A for this amazing opportunity and starting me on my journey with Nonviolence. From the beginning I only had intentions to lead the program for two years, with the goal of giving the program back to the youth of Tucson.

Becoming the coordinator of N.L.P taught me how important it is to understand my relationship with violence and how I interacted with colleagues. This personal understanding empowered me to help heal myself from deep rooted violence. This practice of internal Nonviolence enabled me to be truly present and available for more healing from violence within our community.

As I exit the program my desire for the program is still the same. Every trainer and volunteer personally implements the 6 principles of Nonviolence as a way of Life, not only in training, but in everyday life.
