As many of you know, I was embedded in the D'Angelo camp for some magical moments. As the Lighting Designer/Director for the Voodoo Tour in 2000 and then for the return 12 years later as Production Manager, I had the blessing of working closely with Mike as he and the family (and we ARE family) created some of the most dynamic and heartfelt music events I had ever had the pleasure to be associated with. The things I've seen...epic. No other word can accurately describe them.
