: This image captures Jupiter's mid-northern latitudes. It was taken on May 18, 2017 at 10:50 p.m. PDT (May 19, 2017 at 1:50 a.m. EDT) as the Juno spacecraft performed its 6th close flyby of the planet. At the time the image was taken, the spacecraft was about 5531 miles (8901 kilometers) from the tops of the clouds of Jupiter at a latitude of 37.78 degrees.
