Curating a conservation expedition takes decades and a village of people — landowners, local leaders, forest officials, and fishermen — here’s a peek into our coastal Andhra conservation experience 🌳 In the end, it makes it all worth it to see fishing cats in the wild, and in a safe space, being protected by the local community at large 🐾

Have you ever seen a rusty-spotted cat in the wild? Head to Sri Lanka with us for a conservation expeditions (visit the Expeditions tab in FishCat.org), and you just might get a chance to see the world’s smallest cat with our partner Thusitha Weerasinghe — with years of experience, Thusitha follows a night-safari ethic like no other: whispers, hand gestures, and the use of red lights/headlamps to minimize spooking animals, and to increase chances of sighting elusive species like lorises and small wild cats 🐾

Here’s a clue: 🤝🛖
