To everyone who has donated so far, shared our post, reached out with kind words, or offered to foster… your support means more than we can ever fully express. When things feel heavy and uncertain, it’s you who remind us why we keep going.

You have no idea how much hope this gives us. That said, we still URGENTLY need more donations and additional fosters to keep Lend A Bone going. We are still struggling, and the days ahead are critical.

Over the next days, we will be posting each of our dogs individually who are in urgent need of placement, whether that’s a foster or a forever home. Every open spot, every share, every donation helps lighten the load and brings us one step closer to stability.

The first pup we want to introduce is Cash! 🩵

Cash is a coonhound mix with the sweetest soul. He is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and deeply loves his people. He’s very smart and picks up commands quickly, is house trained and crate trained, and has a calm, easy-going personality that makes him a joy to be around.

Cash absolutely loves playing tag with his buddies Oso and Duckie — the three of them will run around endlessly, chasing each other and having the best time. He would make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys traveling, being outdoors, or just having a loyal best friend by their side. Cash is a true lover boy — he gives hugs, seeks affection, and has a way of looking at you that radiates pure, unconditional love.

Cash is more than ready for a forever home, but even a foster would mean the world to him right now. He deserves stability, comfort, and someone to see just how special he is.

Adopt Chunky! 🤩

Chunky, who we rescued a couple months ago from euthanasia, is ready for adoption and searching for his forever family! 🏡❤️

Chunky is the ultimate chill companion—he just wants to be wherever you are. He’s like a little bodyguard who’s happy to follow your lead and keep you company.

Some facts about Chunky ⬇️

• Great on walks: He does well on a leash and loves getting out to explore. He’s a total Mr. Nosey—ready to greet everyone and check out what’s happening around him.

• Couch potato + cuddle king: He absolutely loves relaxing on the couch and soaking up snuggles.

• Car-ride enthusiast: Hanging his head out the window is his absolute favorite.

• Smart boy: He even knows how to give high-fives!

• Treat lover: Strawberries and apples are his top snacks.

• Mostly house-trained: He does excellent when foster is home—they have a great routine. When they leave, he’s crated with a diaper on just in case they’re gone longer than expected.

• Crate trained: He loves his crate and happily naps or plays with his toys inside it.

• TV buddy: The Sopranos is his comfort show—his fosters put it on for him when they’re out.

• Play style: He plays a bit like a little football player—fun, goofy, and a bit rambunctious.

• Kids & dogs: He doesn’t have experience with babies or small children, and he’d likely do best as the only dog in the home.

• Chunky is currently with a foster in Southern CA
