Happy FRY-day!
Our favorite demo might be the fry demo, because what better way to end the week than with all sorts of crispy golden treats? Students learned how to pan fry, sauté, and use the deep fryer while frying up veggies, pickles, fish, cheese curds, and even Oreos! It was a fun (and delicious) way to practice different cooking techniques and end the week on a high note.

Class 43 has begun! Students have already put their new knife skills to the test, chopping more than 350 pounds of onions!

Those onions won’t go to waste, they’ll help nourish our community. Today, our kitchen team used some of the onions to prepare a rich French onion soup with pretzel croutons and melty cheese, dishing up over 150 bowls that will be served by our community partners.
