True story… the first time I ever rode on the interstate I did a 3000 mile one way solo trip, in the winter. Brooklyn>Raleigh>Boone>Atl>Mobile>Lake Charles>Houston>ElPaso>Tucson

I broke down three times.

1. A broken throttle tube in NJ (30 miles in, definitely from white knuckling 😂). A really nice shop owner gifted me a free one and got me back on the road.

2. Minor late night clutch adjustment in Virginia

3. Dropped my bike at a toll booth in Baltimore. My luggage had shifted when I stopped to pay the toll, I didn’t realize and the weight threw me into a wall when I took off 😊

Snow caught up to me in Mobile, so I stuck around an extra night. After I left Mobile I was finally headed west and clear of any chance of snow, it was smooth sailing with the wind at my tail the rest of the way home.
