Living in the Word – Prayer Devotional for Perseverance
The definition of perseverance, according to Merriam-Webster is a continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.

And perseverance is hard. Especially when the task at hand seems impossible. It is so much easier to throw in the towel and say, “I did good enough”.

But as Christians we are called for more. We are called to continually grow in our faith and in our character. Because we are God’s children and He wants what is best for us. As parents we don’t often let our kids give up or do mediocre work. Why? Because we know they are capable of so much more. God feels the same about each one of us. We are capable of so much more but we have to set our eyes on Him and have perseverance.
