Red Heat Ceramic Art Studio Summer Classes- June 2- July 7th
We still have space available in two of our handbuilding classes this summer! Both are wonderful opportunities to explore clay in unique and creative ways—playful, hands-on, and full of experimentation.
Shake, Rattle, and Roll – Ceramic Rattles
Come explore the joy of making small ceramic forms that sing. In this hands-on class, we’ll use slab and pinch-building techniques to create tactile ceramic rattles. Students will experiment with carved marks, rolled textures, and thoughtful form-building to shape objects that feel beautiful in the hand and produce gentle, soothing sounds.
Each piece will balance sound, surface, and play—perfect as a meditative object, sculptural form, or thoughtful handmade gift.
Culinary Clay
Create mouthwatering ceramic forms inspired by your favorite foods! Instructor Nicki Wood has been making cakes and edible objects from clay throughout her career and will share her playful approach and techniques. Students will explore slab and pinch construction while learning about low-fire glaze applications and surface decoration.
Both classes are great opportunities to loosen up creatively, experiment with surface and form, and enjoy the playful side of working with clay. Contact us for registration details and class schedules!
