Did you know the legend of Bigfoot in Oklahoma goes back long before modern sightings and documentaries? Indigenous tribes in the region told stories of massive, human-like creatures roaming the deep forests of eastern Oklahoma, especially around the Kiamichi and Ouachita Mountains. Long before the creature became a pop culture legend, Native oral traditions and later frontier settlers described large, hairy beings moving silently through the wilderness at night. Over the years, strange sightings near places like Honobia and the Kiamichi Mountains helped cement Oklahoma as one of America’s most active Bigfoot hotspots 👣
We will be providing the food for the 1st Annual Bigfooton66Festival this Sunday. See you all there!
