Last night, Gilcrease members got a first look at "Indigenous Independence: America at 250." Tomorrow, it's your turn.

This exhibition tells the side of the American Revolution that doesn't always make the history books, through rare documents, maps, and art from the Gilcrease collection.

“Indigenous Independence: America at 250” opens this Saturday (6/13) at the Helmerich Center!

Walk the hallway galleries to see copies of important treaties between Indigenous nations and Great Britain, peace medals that marked these pivotal diplomatic events, and historical maps that reference the Native peoples and places that defined these moments 🇺🇸
