Gary Burke has lived with Neurofibromatosis 1 since he was 13. It causes tumors to grow across his body — and a lifetime of stares, avoidance, and in some cases, being asked to leave.

He's now 68, attends storytelling classes at our Roma Berry Senior Center, and has a message: "I got to where I don't really care. If they don't like me being around, it's their problem."
