We handed our Wii bowling team a stack of your comments and just let the cameras roll.

Charlene got accused of juicing. Phyllis got a very sweet comment from a certain professional bowler. Somebody wanted to know why nobody wears wrist straps. Somebody else compared the whole team to the Harlem Globetrotters. Fair questions, honestly, and our residents had answers.

This is Part 1. There were too many good comments to fit into one video, so we’re doing this again.

University Village is a senior living community in Tulsa where our residents prove every single day that age is just a number, especially when there’s a Wii remote involved.

They saved the best for last.

The UV Okies closed out their sixth straight undefeated season on the road, heading to Town Village for a rematch. Town Village did not hand it over. Six of the eight Okies cracked 200 anyway, with Ron, Charlene and Marcia out front.

Final score, 1748 to 1386. University Village.

The in-house league is next, then the National League this fall.

Every other Saturday, University Village residents pick up their drumsticks for DrumFit, a rhythm based cardio drumming class designed specifically for older adults. The class works the mind and body at the same time through seated drumming moves set to music, and the room keeps filling up every single session.

The benefits are real. Improved coordination, cognitive engagement, cardiovascular movement and a whole lot of joy packed into one class.
